Cobs & Logs - A Blasting Impression

Corncob media blasting is a great solution for removing old coatings and stains, as well as rejuvenating UV-damaged wood.  It brings the wood back to a like new surface, similar to sandblasting.  Cob is often preferred to sandblasting as it does not pit the wood like sand.  Unlike chemical strippers, it is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.  Corncob is a dry media, which means no water is forced into the wood.  This greatly reduces the risk of mold and mildew, and drying time is eliminated. The job can get done quicker because stains, chinking and caulking can be applied immediately after blasting.  Cob blasting and refinishing is a great way to bring back the beauty in your log home.
