Product Description
GreenTru 1/4" grade is primarily used as bedding for small animals and bird litter. 1/4" is made from the woody-ring portion of the cob. Although it is not as absorbent as Pith and Chaff, the big advantage is that liquids quickly flow to the bottom of the cage where they are absorbed, leaving the top of the bedding more dry and comfortable for small animals. When 1/4" is used in industrial applications, it is usually referred to as “Plus 8” and that means the majority of particles are retained on a #8 test sieve.

Product Description
GreenTru 1/8” corncob is also used primarily as small animal bedding and bird litter. Like 1/4", it is made from the woody-ring portion and offers the same bottom-up absorption feature which is important for the well-being of pets and small animals. Both GreenTru 1/4” and 1/8” are great for controlling ammonia odor. When used in industrial applications, 1/8” is described as 814 grade and it can be used as media for high pressure-blasting, tumbling or vibratory finishing.

All three products are used as media for tumbling and vibratory finishing of metal parts and the appropriate size is usually the one where the particles are small enough that they will not lodge in openings and cavities. Used as a pressure blast media, GreenTru 1014 is the most aggressive of the three grades.

It is a premium grade corncob product that is used primarily as a “carrier” of animal health products that are mixed with feed and ingested.
